Cracked Out Chicken Tater Tot Casserole

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb cooked chicken, shredded (rotisserie chicken works great)
  • 1 (32 oz) bag frozen tater tots
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup green onions, sliced (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare the Casserole Mixture: In a large bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup, sour cream, ranch seasoning mix, 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, and shredded chicken. Mix well until fully combined. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Assemble the Casserole: Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish. Spread the chicken mixture evenly into the dish. Top with frozen tater tots in a single layer over the chicken mixture.

Bake the Casserole: Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden and crispy.

Add Cheese: Remove the casserole from the oven and sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese on top. Return the casserole to the oven for another 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Garnish and Serve: Once out of the oven, sprinkle sliced green onions on top (optional). Serve hot and enjoy!
