Stir Fry Beef with Mustard Cream



Ingredients :

  • 4 legs of beef
  • 200 ml of fresh cream
  • 2 tablespoons of Dijon mustard
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 garnished bouquet (thyme, bay)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 150 ml of poultry broth
  • 1 tablespoon of flour


Instructions:

  1. Heat the olive oil over medium heat in a large skillet. Add the beef shanks and brown on all sides for 5-7 minutes. Take them out and book them
  2. In the same skillet, saute the chopped onion for about 3-4 minutes, until it becomes translucent.
  3. Sprinkle flour over cooked onions and stir well to coat them. This will thicken the sauce.
  4. Add the poultry broth, garnished bouquet and mustard. Season salt and pepper then mix well.
  5. Put beef shanks back in the skillet, cover and let simmer over low heat for about 20 minutes, until meat is tender and juicy.
  6. Add the sour cream, stir gently and let cook for another 5 minutes. Remove the garnished bouquet before serving.
