Ingredients :
- 4 legs of beef
- 200 ml of fresh cream
- 2 tablespoons of Dijon mustard
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 3 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 garnished bouquet (thyme, bay)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 150 ml of poultry broth
- 1 tablespoon of flour
Instructions:
- Heat the olive oil over medium heat in a large skillet. Add the beef shanks and brown on all sides for 5-7 minutes. Take them out and book them
- In the same skillet, saute the chopped onion for about 3-4 minutes, until it becomes translucent.
- Sprinkle flour over cooked onions and stir well to coat them. This will thicken the sauce.
- Add the poultry broth, garnished bouquet and mustard. Season salt and pepper then mix well.
- Put beef shanks back in the skillet, cover and let simmer over low heat for about 20 minutes, until meat is tender and juicy.
- Add the sour cream, stir gently and let cook for another 5 minutes. Remove the garnished bouquet before serving.
