Ingredients:
For the Filling:
8 oz cream cheese, softened
6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
2 green onions, finely chopped
1 tsp garlic powder
Salt and pepper, to taste
For the Chicken:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
2 cups crushed Doritos (Nacho Cheese flavor or your favorite variety)
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 large eggs, beaten
1/4 cup milk
Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
Step 1: Prepare the Filling
In a medium bowl, combine the cream cheese, crumbled bacon, shredded cheddar cheese, green onions, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth and set aside.
Step 2: Prep the Chicken
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
Butterfly each chicken breast by slicing it horizontally, but not all the way through, to create a pocket.
Stuff each chicken breast with the cream cheese and bacon mixture. Use toothpicks to secure the edges if necessary.
Step 3: Coat the Chicken
Place the flour in one shallow dish, the beaten eggs and milk in another, and the crushed Doritos in a third.
Season the chicken with salt and pepper.
Dip each stuffed chicken breast into the flour, ensuring it’s fully coated. Shake off the excess.
Next, dip the chicken into the egg mixture, then press it into the crushed Doritos, coating it completely.
Step 4: Bake
Place the coated chicken breasts on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and the coating is golden and crispy.
Step 5: Serve
Allow the chicken to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Garnish with additional green on
