Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef, ground turkey, or Italian sausage
- 1 (24 oz) jar of pasta sauce
- 1 (25 oz) bag of frozen cheese ravioli
- 2 cups shredded Italian-style cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
Directions:
Prepare the Meat Sauce:
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef (or turkey or sausage) until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
- Pour in about ¾ of the pasta sauce and let it simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally to blend the flavors.
Assemble the Lasagna:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and spray a 9×13-inch casserole dish with non-stick cooking spray.
- Spread the remaining ¼ jar of pasta sauce on the bottom of the dish.
- Layer half of the frozen cheese ravioli in a single layer over the sauce.
- Spoon half of the meat sauce over the ravioli, then sprinkle with 1 cup of shredded cheese.
- Repeat with another layer of ravioli, meat sauce, and the remaining 1 cup of cheese.
- Sprinkle the top evenly with dried basil and oregano.
Bake:
Cover the dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
Remove the foil and bake uncovered for another 15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
