Ingredients:
For the Chicken:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- ½ cup sour cream
- ½ cup chicken broth
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp salt
For the Stuffing:
- 1 box (6 oz) herb-seasoned stuffing mix
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup chicken broth
- ½ tsp dried sage (optional)
- ½ tsp dried thyme
- ½ cup chopped celery (optional)
For Garnish:
- Chopped fresh parsley
Directions:
Prepare the Slow Cooker: Lightly grease the inside of your slow cooker with cooking spray.
Mix the Sauce: In a bowl, whisk together cream of chicken soup, sour cream, ½ cup chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt.
Layer the Chicken: Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker and pour the creamy sauce mixture over the top.
Prepare the Stuffing: In another bowl, mix the stuffing mix with melted butter, 1 cup chicken broth, dried thyme, sage (if using), and chopped celery. Stir until well combined.
Add the Stuffing: Spread the stuffing mixture evenly over the chicken.
Cook: Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and fully cooked.
Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm with extra gravy from the slow cooker.
