Mexican Restaurant-Style Cheese Dip

Ingredients:

2 teaspoons onion powder

2 teaspoons garlic powder

2 teaspoons cumin

2 cans chopped green chilies

1 tablespoon butter or margarine

1/2 cup milk (or as needed)

1 pound white American cheese, cubed

Instructions:

1. Melt Butter:

In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the butter or margarine.

2. Add Spices and Chilies:

Stir in the onion powder, garlic powder, and cumin until well combined.

Add the chopped green chilies and mix thoroughly.

3. Melt the Cheese:

Add the cubed white American cheese to the saucepan. Stir frequently to prevent sticking or burning.

4. Adjust Consistency:

Gradually pour in the milk, stirring constantly, until the cheese melts and reaches your desired dip consistency. Use more or less milk as needed.

5. Serve:

Once smooth and creamy, remove the dip from heat. Serve warm with tortilla chips, vegetables, or as a topping for your favorite Mexican dishes.

Enjoy your homemade restaurant-style cheese dip!
