Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt, divided
- 1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 (10-ounce) can cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 pound frozen tater tots
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and diced onion until the beef is browned and the onion is soft and translucent.
- Transfer the cooked ground beef and onion to a 9x9-inch casserole dish, spreading it evenly on the bottom.
- Sprinkle 1/4 teaspoon of seasoned salt evenly over the beef mixture.
- Spread the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the beef.
- Spoon the cream of chicken soup over the cheese layer, spreading it evenly.
- Arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer on top of the soup layer.
- Sprinkle the remaining 1/4 teaspoon of seasoned salt over the tater tots.
- Cover the casserole dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
- Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 20 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy and the casserole is heated through.
- Serve immediately.
