- 1 lb ground beef (or turkey)

Instructions:
Cook the Meat:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef with the chopped onion until the meat is browned and the onion is translucent. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
Combine Ingredients:
Stir in the cooked rice, diced tomatoes (with juice), tomato sauce, chopped bell peppers, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
Transfer to Baking Dish:
Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Spread evenly.
Add Cheese:
Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the top of the casserole.
Bake:
Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Then remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Serve:
Let cool slightly before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
