Honey-Glazed Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Bacon



A sweet and savory side dish that's perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients:

For the Brussels Sprouts:

  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

For the Bacon:

  • 6 slices thick-cut bacon, cut into 1-inch pieces

For the Glaze:

  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)


Instructions:

1. Preheat Oven:  

 - Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).  

2. Prepare Brussels Sprouts:  

   - In a large bowl, toss the Brussels sprouts with olive oil, honey, salt, and black pepper. Spread them out on a baking sheet in a single layer.  

3. Cook Bacon:  

   - Place the cut bacon pieces on a separate baking sheet, spreading them out evenly.  

4. Roast: 

   - Roast the Brussels sprouts and bacon in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the Brussels sprouts are tender and caramelized, and the bacon is crispy.  

5. Make the Glaze:  

   - In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, Dijon mustard, balsamic vinegar, and red pepper flakes (if using).  

6. Combine and Serve:  

   - Once the Brussels sprouts and bacon are done roasting, toss them together with the glaze in a large bowl. Serve immediately.
