Taco Pie



This taco pie is a quick and easy meal that's very filling! It's versatile, allowing you to top it with your favorite taco toppings like lettuce, tomatoes, black olives, and more. It's also fantastic as leftovers for lunches. Serve it with taco sauce for an extra kick!


Ingredients:

  • - 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • - 1 packet taco seasoning
  • - 1 can (8 oz) crescent roll dough
  • - 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
  • - Optional toppings: shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, sliced black olives, sour cream, taco sauce


Instructions:

1. Preheat the Oven:

   Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. Cook the Meat:

   In a skillet, cook the ground beef or turkey over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat, then stir in the taco seasoning and follow package instructions.

3. Prepare the Dough:  

   In a greased pie dish or baking dish, unroll the crescent roll dough and press it into the bottom and up the sides to form a crust.

4. Assemble the Pie:

   Spread the seasoned meat evenly over the crust, then sprinkle the shredded cheese on top.

5. Bake:

   Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted.

6. Add Toppings:

   Once out of the oven, let it cool slightly, then add your favorite taco toppings.

7. Serve:

   Slice and serve warm with taco sauce on the side. Enjoy your delicious taco pie!

Tip: This dish is great for leftovers, making it perfect for lunches the next day!
